In this blog I write about where to shop for your preteen girl. This is not an easy one. I remember when my one daughter was at this stage. Too big for kids clothes but too young for adult clothes. Lets face it, at this age girls want to look cool, and not babyish. You know it’s time to transition when Justice loses its appeal!
As a children’s wear designer, my eye is everywhere. I keep track on what is going on in juniors and take it down to toddler sizes when it applies. Currently for the older size range the trends are: cozy knits and ribs, easy wear jeggings, wide leg pants, cozy layering pieces. TIE DYE is a must and anything in an animal print! What I loved about what I put together is the easy mix for these pieces. Easy to interchange with one another giving you endless outfit options! Masks are the must have accessory this fall. Check out my mask post here.

Below is a list out some retailers that have a great selection for girls in the 7-16 size range.
My go to when I am researching on line for this size range are:
- Saks fifth Ave.
- American Eagle Outfitters
- Amazon “the Drop”
Amazon is picking up their game in the fashion Market. They have added “the drop” Limited-edition street style, designed by global influencers. Tie dye is a big trend at the moment and Amazon has it! I think this is a cool idea, my friend Amy Chui who is a personal shopper turned me on to this. You can find her blog here at Pantlesssociety.com. She is amazing when it comes to sales!
American Eagle Outfitters This store really has a great comfy aesthetic. My daughter started shopping here after Justice and at 18 , its still a go to store for her.
Topshop Love this store, they have some really cool trend right pieces nd small sizes that will fit most young girls.
Jcrew is a good retailer if you want to have a younger, brighter look. They are great for some key item pieces.
So there you have my tween girl report! Happy Shopping!
