Printable Weekly Planner: 6 Pretty Designs to Organize Your Week
Originally published on May 24, 2021. Updated on September 21, 2026].
Some weeks feel organized before they even begin. Others seem to get away from you by Monday afternoon. That’s exactly why I love using a printable weekly planner. Having your entire week in front of you makes it easier to see appointments, priorities, activities, and those little tasks that are so easy to forget.
I designed this collection of printable weekly planner pages with six different options, so you can choose a layout that works with the way you like to plan. There are floral and watercolor designs, vertical and horizontal layouts, plus a compact two-week option. And because these weekly planners are undated, you can start using them at any time of the year.

Why Use a Printable Weekly Planner?
Digital calendars are great for reminders, but sometimes I just want to see my entire week laid out in front of me.
A paper weekly planner gives you one place to organize appointments, work schedules, family activities, errands and personal goals without opening another app.
I especially like keeping mine somewhere visible. Clip it to a clipboard, place it on your desk or keep it on the refrigerator where the whole family can see what’s happening that week. Because these are printable weekly planner pages, you can simply print another copy when you’re ready to plan the next week.
What to Look for in a Weekly Planner
The best weekly planner isn’t necessarily the one with the most sections. It’s the one that gives you enough structure to stay organized without making planning feel like another task on your list.
I designed mine around a few features that I find most useful:
• A Monday through Sunday weekly view
• Space for appointments and daily tasks
• Room for your top three weekly goals
• Undated pages you can use at any time
• Multiple layouts for different planning styles
• Designs that are pretty enough to leave out on your desk
Having several layouts also lets you experiment until you find the format that works best for you.
6 Printable Weekly Planner Layouts
Not everyone plans the same way, so I created six weekly planner options using two of my original designs. The collection includes:
• Vertical floral weekly planner
• Horizontal floral weekly planner
• Floral two week planner
• Vertical watercolor weekly planner
• Horizontal watercolor weekly planner
• Watercolor two week planner
All six coordinate with one another, so you can stay with one design or mix and match the pages depending on what you need that week.
Floral Printable Weekly Planner
If you like your organization with a little personality, the floral weekly planner is one of my favorites.I created the floral artwork myself and incorporated it into three different planner layouts: vertical, horizontal and two weeks on one page.
The design adds color without taking away from the writing space you need to actually use your planner.Choose the vertical layout if you prefer planning down the page, the horizontal version if you like a wider weekly view, or the two week version when you want to see what’s coming up beyond the current week.
Vertical vs. Horizontal Weekly Planner: Which Is Better?
Choosing a planner layout really comes down to how you naturally organize information. A vertical weekly planner works well if you like making lists underneath each day. It gives your eye a clear path from the beginning of the week through the weekend.
A horizontal weekly planner gives you a wider writing area and can be helpful if you tend to write longer notes, appointments or reminders.
There isn’t a right or wrong choice. Try the layout that feels most natural for you. That’s one of the advantages of printable planners. You can change your layout without buying an entirely new planner.
Watercolor Printable Weekly Planner
Just like the floral collection, it comes in vertical, horizontal and two-week formats. You can even alternate between floral and watercolor pages. Since the layouts coordinate, you aren’t locked into using the same design every week.
For a cleaner look, I also created a watercolor version of the same weekly planner. The watercolor brushstroke design is simple and modern while still adding enough color to make your weekly planning pages feel special.
Six weekly planner options to choose from!
Not one size fits all on a weekly planner, that’s why I created 6 versions of mine. All so pretty and easy to use. As a designer and artist, I love to create and draw. That’s why this was a perfect project in creating these pretty weekly planner pages. I needed a weekly planner, so in creating this, you get to use them as well. Mix and match the two designs! I created them so that they easily coordinate with one another for seamless design options.

Two Week Planner for Planning Ahead
Sometimes one week isn’t quite enough.I created a compact two week planner for those times when you want to see this week and next week together.
It’s especially useful for upcoming appointments, school schedules, deadlines, travel plans or events that require a little advance preparation. You can also print several two week pages and put them together to create a simple planner booklet
How to Use a Weekly Planner

I find weekly planning works best when I spend a few minutes setting up the page before the week gets busy. Start by adding anything that already has a set time or date, such as appointments, meetings, school activities or events.
Next, add your most important tasks. Then choose your top three goals for the week. These don’t have to be huge accomplishments. They can be anything you want to intentionally make time for.
Once the important pieces are on the page, you can see where you actually have room for everything else.
Supplies needed for your printable weekly planner
Once you have downloaded the layout and design that you want. Just print! The best outcome is to print these pretty designs on quality paper. Below are a few suggestions
- Cardstock – that will give your weekly planner more body
- Novelty paper -that has some texture. you can print these weekly planners on regular copy paper.
- Epson matte Presentation paper– This is my go-to for printing my weekly calendar pages. This is just a little heavier than regular copy paper and prints really nicely!
- Razor-tip Sharpies– Perfect writing tool to fill in your weekly calendar events with
- Highlighters– great way to color code your weekly tasks! This can make your calendar colorful and bright, fun to look at.
Best Practices for printing weekly Calendars
- When you download your pdf, save these files in a folder called weekly planners, so that you can readily find them when you want to reprint for later use.
- When printing, make sure that you select fit to page. This way, none of the weekly planners get cropped from your letter-size page.
- Use quality print paper, I like Epson matte presentation paper. The colors and print come out just a little more defined and crisp. The paper has a little bit more weight than regular copy paper.
- For the two-week calendar page, fold in half and match the corners of all sides before creasing in the center, to ensure matching calendar sizes.
Cute accessories for your weekly planner
Add a clipboard, or fun super-sized novelty paper clips to hold your weekly planner together. Use some highlighters to color code your appointments, for easy at a glance look. Pick your favorite writing tool and keep it on hand. Having your weekly planner set up like this makes it easy and fun to stay organized.
- Novelty clipboard– Amazon has some really fun ones.
- Super Large Paper Clips Vinyl Coated– Love these, especially the colorful ones that keep everything a little bit more fun.
Love all these fun Accessories! Will totally complete the look of your weekly planners! Using color helps to keep your tasks eye- catching so you won’t forget them.
Try Color Coding Your Week
Color coding is one of my favorite ways to make a weekly planner easier to read at a glance. You might use one color for work, another for appointments, another for family activities and another for personal tasks.
Instead of reading every item on the page, your eye begins to recognize the colors and categories immediately. Highlighters or fine point markers work especially well for this.
Ways to Use Your Printable Weekly Planner
A weekly planner doesn’t have to be limited to appointments.
You can also use your planner to keep track of:
• Work schedules and meetings
• Family activities
• School schedules
• Appointments
• Exercise and wellness goals
• Household projects
• Cleaning schedules
• Meal planning reminders
• Errands
• Study schedules
• Personal goals
• Content or business planning
How to Print Your Weekly Planner
These printable weekly planner pages are designed to make printing at home simple. For the best results, use good quality 8.5 x 11 inch paper and check your printer settings before printing. I recommend selecting Fit to Page if your printer tends to crop the edges of PDF files.
Regular copy paper works perfectly well for everyday planning. If you want your pages to feel a little more substantial, use a heavier presentation paper or lightweight cardstock that is compatible with your printer. For the best print quality, make sure you’re using the appropriate print setting for the paper you’ve selected.
My Favorite Paper for Printable Planner Pages
I personally like using matte presentation paper for printable planners. It has a little more weight than regular copy paper, and the colors and graphics tend to print beautifully.
Regular printer paper is still a great choice if you’re printing a new planner page every week.
If you’re creating a planner that you want to keep for several months, a slightly heavier paper can make the pages more durable.
