Thanksgiving Day Gratitude
Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving? This Holiday was first celebrated in 1691 for 3 days amongst native Americans and Pilgrims. To celebrate the first fall harvest. Today everyone knows what’s on the Thanksgiving day menu! I have such gratitude for this day, to be able to eat, drink and celebrate with my loved ones.
It is a time to be with family and friends and reflect on what everyone is thankful for. I added two thanksgiving day printables of Gratitude. First in an exercise that can be done with your guests, either in person or online. Then a “Gratitude” calendar for November to remind ourselves on how fortunate we really are. A good reminder to the upcoming end of the year so as to reset our positive thinking process.
Thanksgiving Day Printable games
Enjoying a feast with your family is always enjoyable. Most families have dessert, then watch football or hang out and chat. So why not a set of “games” or quizzes to share amongst your guests for a group activity? Sometimes a new activity can infuse some life into the evening, giving everyone a chance to participate and interact with one another, instead of staring at their phones! This was centered around a Thanksgiving theme to keep it all in context.
Thanksgiving Day printable Decorations
Easy banner printables, first you can download, then print, and cut them out and easily tape these on a ribbon or cord. So Cute for a doorway, mantle, or any space in your home. Moreover this can be a fun arts & craft project if you have children to involve them in the process of preparing for Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving Day napkin holders
- Epson Paper
- Cardstock– as an option
- Scissors
- Scotch tape
- 1/4″ gold ribbon/ or cording
- Hole puncher for napkin holders
When sitting down to Thanksgiving day dinner, a well set table is always appreciated. To keep true to this theme of gratitude, instead of giving table settings specific guest names, I added a reflective word to differentiate each setting. With a little paper, scissors and ribbon, these easy napkin holders offer a finished and heart warming touch. First all you need to do is print out, cut out (I kept the black shape in my cut napkin holder). Fold utensils in napkin. fold bottom of napkin up then cross the two sides over. Hole punch on either side of holder. Then Place the ribbon around the back, and thread through back of hole.
Thanksgiving Day printable Art
I decided to take my theme and add one last category with a piece of graphic art. Easy to print out, add to a frame and place on a counter, buffet or even the bathroom! It’s a reminder to always be thankful for what we have, I know I am. This has been a difficult year!
“I have learned, that during a time of hardship, you can find the moments of beauty. They are there, you just have to look a little harder to find them”.
My recommendation is to use Epson Presentation Matte paper. Using both my banner (at regular size) and sized my art down to 5×7 so that I could frame it. You can also use this for your napkin holders if you want a little more quality for these.
